NOTE: Each contestant can enter up to TEN (10) entries on the day of the show.

If you plan to enter more than ten, you MUST pre-register!

Pre-registration begins on Sept 1, 2025 and ends on Oct 5, 2025 11:59pm.

Entry Form and Summary Form

Instructions:

1. First fill out an Entry Form for EACH contest entry

2. Make a list of your entries on the Summary Form.

3. Print and bring your completed forms to the show.

Pre-Registration Instructions

1. Email all completed entry and summary form(s) to aabsco@gmail.com.

2. Receive instructions on how to pay using PayPal.

3. Once payment is received, you are now pre-registered.

Email trouble or can't use PayPal? Contact aabsco@gmail.com for mail-in instructions.

Once pre-registered, you don't need to print/bring any forms or wait in line on the day of the show!

Just proceed directly to RAMROD station to pick up your updated paperwork and wristband.


AMPS Contest Rules

1. Any model that has NEVER received an award at previous AMPS CENTEX Armor Expo contests is eligible to compete.

2. All contest models, except for Non-AMPS Entries (see rule below), will be judged using AMPS Judging System.

3. There will be NO RESEARCH BONUS half-point awarded to any entry.

Instead, a bonus half-point will be given to any AMPS entry (except diorama, vignette, and figure) that is ATTACHED TO A BASE.

The base DOES NOT need to have any groundwork. As long as the model is SECURED to the base, the bonus half-point will be given.

(Note: NO point will be deducted if a screw is used to secure the model to the base!)

4. The AMPS "1899 rule" is not applicable in our contest.

5. The decision of the judges are final. NCB!

Tank Buster Challenge - Rotary Wing Aircraft

(Category 17)

1. Military Figures will be judged using MMSI Open Judging System.

2. Miniature Army and Tank Buster Challenge categories will be judged using IPMS 1-2-3 System.

Miniature Army is defined as a collection of FIVE (5) or more desktop gaming pieces (all scales/eras).

Tank Buster Challenge is defined as any combat aircraft model that carries anti-tank weaponry (all scales/eras).

Medals & BestOfs

1. Each entrant is eligible for a maximum of ONE (1) AWARD MEDAL PER CATEGORY based on the highest achievement regardless of the number of winning
entries. e.g. If a modeler enters 10 entries in one category and wins three Bronzes, two Silvers, and one Gold for six (3+2+1=6) of his models, he will
receive a total of one Gold (highest achievement) for his overall effort.

2. The judges will also select one "Best Of" winner in each of the following genres that cross over all of the categories:

Best Vignette

Best Military Figure

Best Fictional

Best Junior

Show Theme Award

Any one of the “Best Of” winners listed above is eligible for the Judges Best of Show award.

In addition, we have the following Special Awards:
